Pro to Go: The Nutrient-Packed Smoothie You’ll Crave Every Day
Would any of you say no to a good probiotic and protein power boost today? I’ve been making one of these every single day for almost 10 years straight! You will absolutely love this smoothie! It combines my favorite PRObiotic- kefir, with whey PROtein and all the minimal essentials for the most nutrient-dense smoothie I could go to fast! For some reason, I always seem to be on the run somewhere… But I know if I have this smoothie then- come what may the rest of the day- I can be sure that I got the good stuff my body wants and needs to truly thrive. (Hence my PRO To Go name 😉) This smoothie is sweet, and nutrient-rich. You can load it with all kinds of fruits and other leafy greens or even your favorite nut butter! Spinach is non-negotiable in all my smoothies!
TANNA’S PRO TO GO SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
1-2 cups kefir (try my homemade kefir here)
¼ cup frozen wild blueberries
¼ cup frozen raspberries
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
2 handfuls of frozen OR 2 cups fresh spinach
Water OR almond milk
Place all ingredients into a blender. Add water or almond milk, depending on how thick you like the consistency. Blend until smooth. By the way, I never measure my fruit; I just throw it in. Often, it ends up being ½-¾ cups, so load up on all the fruit colors if it sounds yummy!
Here are some fun additions you can make for a big bang of nutrients:
Any other berry
Bananas
Flax seeds
Chia seeds
Bee pollen
Greek yogurt
Kale
Microgreens
Dates
Dulse (salty dried green leaf from the sea loaded with iodine and so good for thyroid)
